What is AIG-STRIDE?
STRIDE - Striving Toward Responsible and Intellectual Development
The STRIDE acronym is a name for our elementary AIG curriculum. This curriculum program is designed to foster creative thinking through rigorous curriculum and collaborative projects that extend beyond the regular classroom content. (Pitt County Schools)
STRIDE is a full day of academic advancement for gifted learners in 4th and 5th Grade. This class takes place once a week at a designated location depending on which school the student attends. Ayden Elementary students stay at their base school. However, Grifton School students are bused to Ayden Elementary to join the Ayden students for the STRIDE class.
